The University of Maine at Farmington Department of Public Safety/Campus Police must enforce the orderly flow of motor vehicle traffic while guarding the safety of the campus community and property. Therefore it is necessary to establish and enforce policies governing motor vehicles operating and/or parking on campus. We try to maximize the use of parking facilities, while maintaining first responder access to all areas at all times. UMF Facilities personnel and equipment must have unobstructed access in order to maintain safe surface conditions. Parking on turf is a destruction of UMF property and is never permitted. All individuals are responsible for parking in compliance with UMF policy regardless of affiliation or duration of stay. Regulations apply all year long. in all weather, and at all times. All UMF students, faculty, and staff are REQUIRED to display a UMF issued decal while parking on campus. An appeal can only be considered when filed within FIVE business days of the ticket issuance Only by completing and filing this document timely will any appeal be considered.
